Shelley Pearl Russell

Shelley is an emerging marine biologist on the west coast of Canada, where she explores the ocean alongside her chocolate Labrador, Nootka. She earned her BSc. in Marine Biology from the University of Victoria and is carving out a career in ocean conservation.

Along this journey, she has discovered a love of writing and storytelling, a skill she plans to weave into her conservation work, including her marine plastic recycling initiative, ReSeaCycle BC. Shelley is passionate about contributing to actionable change in the ocean sector and connecting people with the hidden wonders and challenges of marine life.
